Hollywood actor John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, who lost their young son a year ago, are expecting a child, according to multiple US tabloid reports.

Travolta, 56, and Preston, 47, married in 1991 and are parents to a daughter, Ella Bleu, born in 2000. Their son Jett died at age 16 last year in the Bahamas after suffering a seizure.

The couple, who kept a low profile since Jett’s death, announced Tuesday night they are expecting a new addition to their family, reported various entertainment
sites, including People.com, E! Online and Star.

While Travoltas did not specify what the addition is, the online media reports interpreted the statement to mean that the gorgeous actress is pregnant.

According to People.com, a family member said Jerry Maguire star Preston is pregnant at 47.

The happy couple has taken to their website to announce the big news.
"It's impossible to keep a secret... especially one as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news that we are expecting a new addition to our family," reads the statement ending with “Love, John, Kelly and Ella.”
